Autauga, Blount, Chilton, Dallas, Elmore, Jefferson, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Pike, Shelby, St. Clair, Walker, and Winston.

WHAT WE DO

Our mission is to create and support one to one mentoring relationships that ignite the power
and promise of youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters believes that inherent in every child is the
ability to succeed and we have committed ourselves to serving children in Alabama for over
40 years. Professional staff carefully match children with volunteer mentors in long-term,

Big meets Little

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham targets the children who need us most, including those living in single parent homes, growing up in poverty and coping with parental incarceration. Starting something begins with finding a great match between a Big and a Little. Making these matches, and performing all the background work involved with them, is possible because of donations from people like you. It's also why we're able to offer such a wide variety of programs that pair children, ages 7 through 15, with role models in one-to-one relationships.
