On January 28th, Mayor Randall Woodfin proclaimed January as National Mentoring Month in the City of Birmingham. Big Brothers Big Sisters was presented with a mayoral proclamation during the City Council meeting. Surrounded by Bigs and Littles from the Department of Youth Services and UAB’s workplace program, Beyond School Walls, Sue Johnson, CEO spoke on the importance of mentoring. Board members, Chip Bivens, Michael Clark, and Kimberly Jackson were in attendance for the honor.
